How to create a new client board


To create a new board, go to the Clients module and click the Boards tab in a client’s page.

One of the following screens will pop up:

No boards 

If there are no boards created yet, click Create New Board in the top right corner or in the middle of the screen.

No default board 

If there are existing boards but none of them are set up as default, click Create New Board in the top right corner.

If a default board is set up, the Kanban view of that board will be displayed.

Under the additional board menu, click Create New Board

A Create Board modal window will pop up.

Fill out the fields about the new board:

  • Name (required) – Give the board a name.
  • Key (required) – The key is a letter and/or number combo that will prefix the ticket numbering, providing a unique ID to the ticket.
  • Template (required) – Select the board layout template. Board templates are created in the Organization Configuration by an administrator.
  • Board Lead (optional) – Select a board lead or owner from the list of your users.
  • Color (required) – Choose a color for this board. This color will follow the board throughout the system. 

Click Save. You have successfully created a new board and are now ready to create tasks.
