What is an external systems flow

What is an external systems flow

The External Systems module Flow section displays detailed information about how Vault Synapse connects and exchanges data with external systems.

To view a system’s flow, open the External Systems list and click the Name of the system you want to review. Then, click Flows in the navigation header to expand and view its details. The flow data is presented in columns:

  • Flow – The name of the flow
  • Type – Specifies the flow direction (e.g., incoming, outgoing)
  • Execution Time – The duration of the flow’s most recent execution
  • Description – Additional details about the flow
  • Last Run – Time when the flow was last executed

You can also add a new flow directly from this page.

Use filters to refine the displayed data by:

  • Status – Active, inactive, or both
  • Last Synchronization Time – Choose from options such as an hour ago, two hours ago, today, yesterday, or within the last seven days

Running a flow

Click Execute Run at the end of a flow row to manually trigger that specific data flow. This allows you to synchronize data immediately without waiting for the scheduled run.
