Project Management
In the Project Management module, you can view project metrics, project members, tasks, status, time tracking, integrity checks, manage budgets and resources, and gain an accurate overview of actual and planned expenses.
You can enable/disable this module by clicking the toggle in the top right corner. A toggle next to Time Tracking allows you to enable/disable time tracking for this entity. Furthermore, you can edit time tracking settings, add a new approval setup, and edit and delete existing approval setups.
How to enable/disable time tracking for the Project Management module
To turn time tracking for project management on or off, simply use the toggle in the Project Management window.
How to edit time tracking settings in the Project Management module
Click the gear icon next to Time Tracking. A modal window will pop up. Edit the following fields:
- Time Entries at Level (required) – Select from the dropdown list. You can choose Entity, Entity Type, Tasklist, or Task.
- Default Task List Type – Select an item from the dropdown. The menu elements will be set by your organization admin (e.g. Archive, New, Other, Release etc.).
- Activity Type – Select an item from the dropdown. The menu elements will be set by your organization admin (e.g. Support, Sales, Administration, etc.).
- Maximum Time Entry Duration (in Minutes) (required) – Type a number into the field or use the digital counter to define this value. Any Time Entry exceeding this value will not be saved.
- Maximum Deleting Time in the Past (in Hours) (required) – Type a number into the field or use the digital counter to define this value. It will not be possible to delete a time entry in the past that exceeds this value.
- Maximum Editing Time in the Past (in Hours) (required) – Type a number into the field or use the digital counter to define this value. It will not be possible to edit a time entry in the past that exceeds this value.
- Maximum Editing Time in the Future (in Minutes) (required) – Type a number into the field or use the digital counter to define this value. It will not be possible to save a time entry that exceeds this value.
- Maximum Logging Time in the Past (in Hours) (required) – Type a number into the field or use the digital counter to define this value. It will not be possible to log a time entry in the past that exceeds this value.
When finished, click Save.
How to add a new approval setup in the Project Management module
Click on the Add New button in the Approval Setup line. A modal window will open. Fill out the following fields:
- Entity Type (required) – The Projects entity will be populated. You can choose a different entity from the dropdown menu if relevant.
- Goal Approver Points (required) – Set the level of value for approval. Enter a value into the field or use digital counter to set approver points.
- Approval For – Select what the approval is for from the dropdown menu.
When finished, click Save.
How to add a new approval setup group in the Project Management module
Click the action icon next to Projects and select add new. A modal window will open. Fill out the following fields:
- User (required) – Select a user from the dropdown list.
- Approval Limit – Enter a value or use the counter. The currency is set by your organization’s admin.
- Self-Approval Limit – Enter a value or use the counter to define the user’s self-approval limit.
- Budget Limit – Enter a value or use the counter to set the maximum budget limit.
- Points for Approver (required) – Enter a number between 1 and 3 or use the counter.
When finished, click Save.
How to edit an approval setup in the Project Management module
Select the approval setup you wish to edit from the list. Click the action icon next to it and click edit. A modal window will open. Edit the input fields as required and click Save.
Note that the Entity Type field cannot be edited.
How to delete an approval setup in the Project Management module
Select the approval setup you wish to delete from the list. Click the action icon next to it and click delete. A warning message will pop up. If you are sure, click OK to delete the approval setup.
How to edit an approval setup group in the Project Management module
Select a user from the list and click the action icon at the end of the row. Click edit. A modal window will open. Edit the information as required and click Save.
How to delete an approval setup group in the Project Management module
Select a user from the list and click the action icon at the end of the row. Click delete. A warning message will pop up. If you are sure, click OK to delete the approval setup.
