What are location details
The Location Details section provides key information about each company location registered in Vault Synapse. It helps you view and manage essential data such as the location’s name, code, type, responsible person, and address, ensuring accurate asset tracking and efficient facility management.
To view a location’s details, open the Locations module and click the Details tab of the selected location.
The Basic Info card displays the following information:
- Name (required) – The name of the location
- Code (required) – The unique identifier for the location
- Parent Location – The main or higher-level location, selectable from a dropdown list
- Description – Additional notes or relevant information about the location
- Person Responsible – The individual assigned to manage or oversee the location
- Location Type – Select from predefined options such as In Use, In Storage, External Location, Disposed, etc.
- Layout File – Attach layout or floor plan files by dropping them into the field or browsing your computer
- External ID – Specify an external identifier if required for integration purposes
- Address – Define the location using All, Establishments, Addresses, or Geocodes; alternatively, use Bias to Map Viewport or Strict Bounds for precise mapping
- Is Active – Indicates whether the location is active. If checked, the location will appear in the system as Active; unchecking it will mark the location as Inactive.
Note! Vault Synapse is a highly customizable tool, meaning certain fields can be additionally customized based on your business needs and preferences.
Note! A user can access the location information only with the relevant permissions/access rights given by the administrator.
