How to add a new company

To create a new company in Vault Synapse, navigate to the Companies section under the Organization module. Click the Add New button to open the company creation form. Complete all required fields in the Company Details and Address sections, then click Save to finalize the setup. 

Company Details Section 

In this section, provide the key administrative and operational information about the new company: 

• Name – Enter the display name of the company as it should appear in the system. 
• Legal Name – Provide the official registered name of the company. 
• Tax Information – Enter the company’s tax identification number or any required fiscal details. 
• Company Managers – Select one or more users from the dropdown list to assign as company managers. 
• Time Zone – Choose the time zone in which the company operates. 
• Country – Select the country where the company is registered or based. 
• Currency – Define the default currency the company will use for transactions and payroll. 
• Company Code – Enter a unique internal code used to identify the company in reports or integrations. 
• Operations Start Date – Specify the date when the company officially began operations. 
• Color – Pick a background color to visually represent the company within the system. 
• Font Color – Choose the font color that pairs with the selected background color. 
• Is Active – Check this box to mark the company as active and make it available for use across modules. 

Address Section 

Provide the company’s physical location details: 

• Address Label – Add a label for the address (e.g., Headquarters, Branch Office). 
• Address Line – Enter the street name and number. 
• City – Provide the name of the city. 
• State/Region – Specify the applicable state, region, or province. 
• Country – Select the country of the address. 
• Postal Code – Enter the postal or ZIP code.
• Latitude – Input the latitude coordinate (if applicable). 
• Longitude – Input the longitude coordinate (if applicable). 

Company Logo 

You can upload the company’s logo in image format to visually brand it within the application. This will be displayed on relevant screens, dashboards, and reporting views.

After filling in all necessary information, click Save to add the company to your organization.
