What is the projects list
The Projects List provides a complete overview of all projects associated with a client in Vault Synapse. It allows you to quickly review key project data such as names, managers, phases, status, budget, tracked time, and progress indicators—all in one place.
Depending on your configuration, you can customize which columns appear in the list, filter results, and access related project details. User rights determine visibility and access levels to ensure that confidential project information remains protected.
To access the project list, go to the Clients module and click the Projects tab in a client’s page. The list will display all projects linked to that client.
You can filter grids. Use filters to help narrow down your search.
Clicking on values in the project list view will take you to various tabs across Vault Synapse's modules.
In the project list, you can change and save the width of the columns in the grid itself. Click the save button to save the changes.
The columns in the grid are optional and are based on your configuration. Click the link to find out how to customize the view.
You can see this information from the project view:
- Assets – Shows the number of assets assigned to the project. The value links directly to the project’s Assets tab.
- Boards – Displays the number of boards created under the project. Clicking this value takes you to Project Boards.
- Boards (Archived) – Indicates the number of archived boards per project.
- Budget – Shows the monetary amount allocated as the project’s budget.
- Checklists – Displays a progress bar showing the status of assigned checklists. Hovering over the bar reveals detailed numerical progress per phase.
- Client – Displays the client avatar and name linked to the project. Each project can be connected to only one client, so all projects listed here relate to the same client currently being viewed.
- Commitment – Indicates the total committed funds for the project.
- Department – Shows the department associated with the project.
- Managers – Displays avatars of the managers responsible for the project. Hover over an avatar to view the manager’s full name.
- Members – Displays avatars of project members. Hover over an avatar to see the member’s full name.
- My Tracked Time (All Time) – Shows the total hours the current user has tracked for the project.
- Tracked Time (All Time) – Displays the total hours tracked by all project members and managers combined.
- Transaction Stats – Displays a progress bar representing the project’s budget status, divided into Budget, Actual, and Committed segments. Hovering over the bar will reveal detailed numerical values.
- Name – Displays the project’s name. Clicking the project name will open the project detail view.
- Project Phase – Indicates the current phase of the project.
- Project Status – Displays the current status assigned to the project (e.g., Active, Pending, Completed).
- Project Type – Indicates the type of project, such as Internal, Charity, eShop, or Commercial.
- RAG Status – Displays four colored circles representing Schedule, Resourcing, Risk, and Issue statuses. Hover over any circle to view more detailed information.
- Schedules – Shows the number of schedules created for the project.
- State – Indicates whether the project is currently Active or Inactive.
Note! Vault Synapse is a highly customizable tool, meaning certain parts and functionalities of the application can be additionally built-in or customized based on your business needs and preferences.
