Access logs

The Access Logs in Vault Synapse provide a centralized record of all login activities across the system. This feature gives administrators full visibility into user access, making it easier to track behavior, detect suspicious activity, and ensure compliance with security policies. By reviewing access logs regularly, organizations can identify potential risks early and maintain tighter control over their data.

Access Logs record both successful and unsuccessful login attempts, giving insight into how and when users are accessing the system. Failed attempts are particularly important as they may indicate unauthorized access attempts or forgotten credentials that require follow-up.

To view the access history, go to the Users module and open the Access Logs tab. This section displays a detailed log of each login event. The log includes the date and time of the attempt, the name of the user and the description of login.
