What is time tracking for a client


The Time Tracking section in Vault Synapse provides an overview of all hours logged by team members working on a client. It allows you to monitor the total time spent on client-related tasks, view detailed time entries, and analyze how resources are allocated across projects.

From this section, you can also review and manage resource allocations for client tasks, ensuring that workload distribution remains balanced and efficient. Detailed time entries offer deeper insight into work processes, helping you identify patterns and improve operational performance.

A variety of filters and reporting options are available under the Summary tab, enabling you to generate customized reports tailored to your analysis needs.

Time tracking plays a crucial role in maintaining productivity and optimizing workflows. By analyzing how long specific tasks take to complete, you can assess profitability, identify inefficiencies, and make informed decisions about pricing, outsourcing, and client management strategies.

To see a client’s time tracking, go to the Clients module and select the client you want to see the time tracking for.

Click the Time Tracking tab in the navigation header. The Tasks, Allocations, Time entries and the Summary tab will be displayed. From here you can review tasks, manage allocations, see a calendar view of the tracked time, and see a summary of billable and non-billable hours.
