What is external systems basic info
What is External Systems Basic Info
The External Systems Basic Info section displays key reference data for external applications or systems that Vault Synapse connects to or exchanges data with.
To access this section, click the External Systems icon in the main sidebar on the left side of the screen. The External Systems list will open, showing a grid of information organized in columns. Click the Name of an external system to view its Basic Info.
Basic Info overview
The Basic Info section provides essential details about the selected system, including:
- Name – The external system from which data is pulled or synchronized
- Status – The current connection or synchronization status
- Type – The type of data being synchronized
You can also use the Edit and Delete buttons to manage the system. A large envelope icon visually represents email-type systems.
At the top-right corner of the screen, the action icon (⋯) allows you to add a new flow.
Flows section
The Flows section, located on the right side of the screen, lists all configured flows that link the external system to specific modules. It shows:
- The direction of each data flow
- The last run time for each flow
At the bottom-right corner, user avatars indicate people associated with or having access to that flow.
Each flow row includes an action icon (⋯) that provides additional options, such as Execute Run and Deactivate.
