What are Board settings

Board settings allow you to manage parameters for an agile board by using defined tools. You can decide how tasks are added to your board, list departments, and define who can view and use the board. Depending on your access rights, you can set up board behavior options.  

How to customize and configure the settings of a board

Board settings allow you to customize processes and information related to a board. You can customize and configure the General Board, Kanban, and Personal settings.   

To configure the settings of a board, go to the Departments module and click the Boards tab in a department’s page. 

Click on the board you want to edit. If a default board has been set, it will pop up first. 

Click the Settings tab.

Click Board on the left-hand side of the Settings window. It will then display General Board Information and Additional Board Information.  From here, you can view the Board Name, a predefined Board Key, and a predefined Board Template. The Board Leader can be changed. You can also select the default reporter of this board by typing a name into the input field.  You can specify the version's start date, end date, and release date.  A color picker allows you to assign a color to this board. 

Note! The Board Key and Board Template are predefined and cannot be edited.

Additional Board Information can be customized by turning Time Tracking, Location, and Conversations on and off. 

When finished, click Save.

Click Kanban on the left-hand side of the Settings window. The Settings window displays General Kanban Settings which can be turned on and off. This includes the options of Highlight Priority Tasks, Highlight Tasks, Image Preview, and Add Checklist. 

When finished, click Save. 

Click Personal on the left-hand side of the Settings window. You can activate the Personal View which will highlight tickets that have been assigned to you.

When finished, click Save.
