What is time tracking in the Departments module


Time tracking in the Departments module provides a comprehensive overview of time tracking for all departments in which time tracking had been enabled, either in the department’s settings or at a higher level in the organization configuration. This is especially useful when making decisions about whether to take on new departments, as the effort estimate, time spent, and due dates will tell you more about resource availability. The data displayed also gives you an indication of how smoothly and effectively departments are running. 

To see time tracking for all departments, go to the Departments module and click the Time Tracking tab in the navigation header. 

You can filter the department’s task list view by active, inactive, or both. The Tasks, Allocations, and Summary tabs will be displayed. From here, you can review tasks, manage allocations and see a summary of billable and non-billable hours.
