Company switch
What is a company switch
A company switch in Vault Synapse allows users to change between different legal entities or companies within the same environment. The company switch feature improves efficiency by allowing quick access to multiple company databases without logging out. It also enhances accuracy and control by keeping each company’s data separate while enabling centralized management and reporting. This lets users access and manage data, transactions, and reports specific to each company without logging out or changing systems.
Note! When you switch companies while in a specific module (e.g. Finance), the new company will open in the same module. If you are working on a particular task within the module (e.g. a Purchase Orders), switching companies will redirect you to the grid view of that module (e.g. Purchase Orders).
It is important to Save your work before switching companies; unsaved work can be lost!
Where to find the company switch feature
Click the organization logo at the top-left corner of the screen. A dropdown menu will appear, listing all configured companies. Select the company you want to switch to. The Company Dashboard will then open, displaying various widgets.
If no widgets are configured yet, users with the appropriate access rights can add them. Widgets on the dashboard can also be edited or deleted as needed. Find out how to add, edit, or delete widgets on the Company Dashboard.
The main side menu displays the modules—represented by icons—that have been configured for the company you are currently viewing. To view the module titles, expand the arrow next to the company name. The number of modules you can view depends on your purchase plan and can vary from company to company.
