What is an office asset
The Assets function in the Offices module makes it simple to manage and track all office assets across locations. It provides tools to monitor the status of each asset, record its details, and move it from one place to another when needed.
Built-in filters help you quickly find the information you need by narrowing results based on location, model, type, status, or whether the asset is active or inactive. You can also record important events for each asset, such as logging maintenance or inspections, printing labels, disposing of items, moving them to a new location, or adding notes for future reference.
With these features, staying on top of office assets becomes efficient and straightforward, ensuring that all equipment and resources are well-organized and easy to manage.
To view information about an office's assets, go to the Offices module and click the Assets tab inside the office page.
You can search for an asset in 3 different ways:
- Manually – Select the relevant asset from the list.
- By using keywords – Enter the name of the asset or any keywords that the asset name contains to find your entry.
- By using filters – Use filters to help narrow down your search.
From the asset list view, you can be taken to other Vault Synapse modules. For example, by clicking on the S/N of the asset, you will be taken to the Details tab of that asset where you can then edit the details of the asset or delete it.
Note! Assets created inside any of the modules can be later found in the Assets module.
Click the link to find out how to customize the view.
