Overview of My Workspace
My Workspace is a dedicated dashboard that provides users with a consolidated view of all tasks assigned to them. This feature is particularly valuable for users involved in multiple projects, as it helps streamline task management and improves focus. Instead of navigating through various boards, users can access all relevant assignments in one place and monitor progress effortlessly.
To open My Workspace, click on your profile icon located in the main menu of the Vault Synapse interface and select My Workspace from the dropdown menu.
Once opened, the My Workspace page presents a visual and organized summary of the user’s task workload. At a glance, users can see how many tasks are open, completed, in progress, or pending. A graphical progress bar displays the status breakdown, helping users understand their workload distribution in real time.
Each task entry in the list includes several key details. The Board column shows the name of the project board associated with the task. Clicking this link will navigate directly to the full project board. The Subject field displays the task name; clicking on it will open the task’s detailed view. Reporter identifies the person who created the task. The Components field lists specific categories or labels assigned to the task, which can be customized to suit organizational needs. The Status field indicates the current state of the task (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Done), helping users track progress effectively.
The visibility and features of My Workspace may vary based on module configurations and user permissions defined by the system administrator. Certain users can be granted the ability to view other users’ assigned tasks through the Assigned To dropdown menu. This feature is particularly useful for team leads, project managers, and coordinators who need a centralized view of team activity.
By selecting an assignee from the dropdown menu, authorized users can track task distribution, assess workload, and monitor progress across team members. This enables efficient planning and resource management throughout the project life cycle.
