How to edit an external system
To edit an external system, open the External Systems module and click the Edit icon at the end of the selected item’s row.
Alternatively, click the Name of the application to open its Basic Info page, then press the Edit button to modify its details.
A modal window will appear, allowing you to edit the General Information and Keys Information. This modal window lets you configure or update the connection details for the selected external system.
The General tab will open by default and includes the following fields:
- Name (required) – Editable field
- Type – Not editable in the General tab
- Is Active – Untick the box to make the external system inactive
Click Save to apply your changes.
Click the Keys tab to view and edit integration details.
- Enable Integration – Use the toggle to disable or enable the external system integration
All editable information is displayed in columns by Name, Type, and Value:
- User Name (required) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
- Password (required) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
- Incoming Server (required) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
- Incoming Port (required) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
- Is Outgoing (required) – Select the type from the dropdown and tick the box if outgoing
- Connection Option (optional) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
- Client ID (optional) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
- Client Secret (optional) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
- Tenant ID (optional) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
When you’ve finished making changes, click Save to apply them or Cancel to return to the External System Basic Info page without saving.
