How to add a new external system

To create a new external system, go to the External Systems module and click add new external system in the top right corner of the screen.  

Choose the external system from the list. A modal window will pop up.  

The General tab will open by default and includes the following fields: 

• Name (required) – Editable field 
• Type – Not editable in the General tab 
• Is Active – Untick the box to make the external system inactive 

Click Save to apply your changes. 

Click the Keys tab to view and edit integration details. 

• Enable Integration – Use the toggle to disable or enable the external system integration 

All editable information is displayed in columns by Name, Type, and Value:

• User Name (required) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
• Password (required) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value 
• Incoming Server (required) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value 
• Incoming Port (required) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value 
• Is Outgoing (required) – Select the type from the dropdown and tick the box if outgoing 
• Connection Option (optional) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value 
• Client ID (optional) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value 
• Client Secret (optional) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value
• Tenant ID (optional) – Select the type from the dropdown, then enter the value

Click Save. Click Cancel to return to the External System Basic Info page without saving. 

Note! Users can view the external system information only with the relevant permissions/access rights given by the administrator.
