Office board users
What is a board user
Board users are a group of people related to office projects and boards. Their access to office boards can be customized based on your business needs.
To see all the board users with access to a board, go to the Offices module and click the Boards tab in the office page.
Select the board whose users you want to view.
Click the Users tab in the board. You will then be presented with the names and the office roles of all users with access to this board. You can also add a new role to existing users or grant access to the new users directly from this page.
How to add a new role to an existing user
To add a new role to an existing user, go to the Offices module and click the Boards tab in an office page.
Select the board with the user that you want to add a new role to.
Click the Users tab in the board. Find the existing user you wish to add a new role to. Click … at the end of the selected user row and click add role.
A Grant Access modal window will pop up. Select the new role and click Grant Access.
Note! Roles defined under office boards are always relative. For instance, members of this particular board only have access to this board because of their given relative roles. The same members can also have non-relative roles that are defined in the Organization Configuration, like office members, testers, and project leads which determine their other restrictions or permissions across the same office board.
How to grant access to users
To grant access to users, go to the Offices module and click the Boards tab in an office page.
Select the relevant board.
Click the Users tab in the board and then click Grant Access.
A Grant Access modal window will pop up. Select users and the roles to add. Click Grant Access once done.
Note! Users are defined in the Users module. Roles are defined in the Organization Configuration by an administrator.
