Login Providers
The Login Providers section allows administrators to manage external and internal authentication methods used to access Vault Synapse. From this screen, you can view existing login providers, as well as add new ones, edit their settings, or remove them as needed.
This configuration supports integration with a variety of authentication services—both internal (e.g., company-managed logins) and external (e.g., third-party identity providers). Admins can also define whether a login method is available for mobile access, ensuring a consistent and secure login experience across platforms.
Proper configuration of login providers ensures that users can authenticate securely while aligning with your organization’s access policies and technology stack.
How to add a new login provider in Security
Tap the Add New button in the top right corner of the window.
A modal window will pop up
Fill out the following fields:
- Provider (required) – Select the provider from the dropdown menu. The list will contain providers that your organization uses.
- External – Check this box if the new provider login is external.
- Internal – Check this box if the new provider login is internal.
- Available in Mobile – Check this box if the New Provider login is available in mobile.
When finished, press Save.
How to edit Login Providers in Security
Select the Login Provider you want to edit from the list and tap the … action icon at the end of the row. Click edit.
The Login Provider info details window will open.
Note! You will not be able to edit the Provider field, but you can enable/disable check boxes for the External/Internal, and available in mobile functions.
Press Save when finished.
How to delete a Login Provider in Security
Select the Login Provider from the list which you want to delete and tap the … action icon at the end of the row. Click delete.
A warning message will pop up. If you are sure, press OK to delete the Login Provider.
