How to link approved estimates to approved budgets


You can link estimates submitted for approval to approved budgets in the Decision Center.

To link approved estimates to approved budgets, hover the mouse over the financial icon in the main sidebar menu and click Decision Center.

In the left-hand Pending Transactions list, find the estimate you want to link with a budget and click on it.

Fill out the required fields. To link a budget, start typing in the Budget Description field. A dropdown list of available budgets will appear—select the appropriate one and click Approve.

If you want to create a new budget and link it to the estimate, simply overwrite the pre-filled description (the project’s name from where the estimate has been submitted for approval).

Note: You can link an estimate with a budget only if a budget has been created during the estimate approval process in the Decision Center.

For example, if you add a new purchase order from the Purchase Orders grid and add budgeting items manually in the form, those items will later appear in the Projects module, Business Trips module, or any other related entity (based on your allocation when completing the purchase order form) in the transactions grid as estimates without a budget. These transactions cannot be linked to a budget.
